Software Version
The latest software version for the NOKIA 6110 is V 5.31 and contains some software modifications. Sorry, I don’t know what changes have been made to version 5.31.
Changes made until V 4.73: IR-Software improved, charger recognition improved, headset features improved, same standard SMS tone as 8110i, better energy saving function, better call conference features, better SMS status report, display of saving status (phone or SIM), HFU-2 improved, better charging with standard, car charger and “cold” battery, faster network connection, safer network connection at a low signal strength, longer single ringtone with vibra pack, better battery control with Li-Ion, no more changing Half Rate settings via keypad, EFR improved.
New front covers for Nokia 6110
There are some new covers for the Nokia 6110 available in Finland and Hongkong. I have seen a silver cover and it really looks cool. There are also some painted ones.

There is a new site, where you can see nice front covers for 3110, 6110, 6130, 8110. You can also order them via the Internet. One cover costs about US$ 70,00. Ask your local dealer for changing the cover, otherwise you lose your warranty!

Alarm Clock
You can use your NOKIA 6110 as a alarm clock! Use the alarm setting (menu 4-1) and turn the phone off. It will turn on automatically and you can decide, if the phone should boot up or not.

More Standby Time
If you want to save battery capcity you have to turn off the cell & info service if you don’t use it. That services costs you up to 15 hours standby. The NOKIA 6110 phone has a sleep mode and after a while of inactivity it activates this mode. So avoid pressing any keys! It will get into normal mode after pressing a key. The sleep mode saves a lot of battery capacity.
